Heart's Content Decorative Pillow for the Moda Bake Shop:

Heart's Content Pillow is a 14" x 28" decorative pillow made from a Laundry Basket Quilts Jelly Roll and some yardage.  Techniques shared include sewing on foundation fabric, top stitching, free motion echo quilting and making an envelope pillow.   Additional wool flowers are covered in a separate tutorial.

 

Chevron with a Twist for the Moda Bake Shop:

Crochet Edge Embellishment for Aurifil Technique Tuesday:

I do love to enhance my quilting with a variety of techniques -- this one was dear to my heart.  I shared the details at Quilt Festival in Houston and wrote all about it for the Auribuzz blog in their Technique Tuesday highlights.  Add a little fun into your projects using Aurifil 12wt thread.  This tutorial will walk you through the process - click the image below. 



Faux Ruched Flower:

I love, love, love to add ruched flowers to my creations. You'll find them on the Chevron with a Twist Quilt, A Quilter's Doodles Quilt and on 2019 Aurifil Designer of the Month Block - Flower Garden. This tutorial will walk you through prepping and stitching a ruched flower.


Chevron Shuffle for the Moda Bake Shop:

Chevron Shuffle is a modern mini variation of the Chevron with a Twist quilt originally prepared for the Moda Bake Shop.  It finishes at 24" square and is created with 2 packs of Moda Charms (5" square). A Quilter's Doodles Quilt: Aurifil Facebook Live Video

A Quilter's Doodles Quilt was made with Moda Grunge fabrics and using Aurifil 28wt and 12wt threads. It includes ruler work and dense free motion quilting. In May of 2017 I recorded a live video with Aurifil thread at International Quilt Market. I discuss quilt details and give a brief demo during this 30 minute video recording.


Mitered and Flanged Machine Binding: 

You'll love this machine finished binding with step by step instructions for mitering the corners and the finish.  It also includes an awesome accent flange and sweet top stitching with Aurifil 12Wt thread.   The mitered finish was inspired by a tutorial from: The Fat Quarter Shop and Lisa Bongean (see links in tutorial).  For the detailed tutorial click the image below:
