It will get YOUR creative stitches hopping!
The design and quilting is very versatile so you might consider the following
finishing options:
1. Forget the applique and prepare a mini whole-cloth.
In the sample above I used my QP Edge Template by my dear friend Linda Hrcka ~ The Quilted Pineapple and added a double-line cross hatch in the center.
Sew FUN!!!
2. Make it larger by duplicating the design for a 4 patch!!
The hearts look fabulous oriented in either direction.
Just a few of the things you can do to turn the mini into a real quilt.

ReplyDeleteVery sweet mini. I like the quilting help...Happy birthday to your sister Janet.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen for clear and encouraging instructions. So eager to give this a go as feathers have always scared me.
ReplyDeleteGreat instructions and thanks for sharing so many suggestions!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the information and instructions you give on free motion quilting. I am just starting to learn how to FMQ so I am always looking for hints and tutorials!

I love the simplicity and the beautiful quilting on this. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love the design and how each motif works with another!!
ReplyDeleteThis was great fun to read! My favorite part is your voice. It felt like you were chatting right with me as we leaned over the work together. :-) I also loved the info on the marking tools and eraser pen. And it's always helpful to spend time with someone who encourages one to let the glitches go. I shall make sure I've liked all three places on fb--but there's a good chance I've done that already. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh--and I'll be happy to share this blog on my fb page--Karla's Quilts.
ReplyDeleteI love the versatility of your design.
